The huge Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (City of Science & Industry), at the northern end of Parc de la Villette, has all sorts of high-tech exhibits: the Explora exhibitions cover everything from space exploration and automobile technology to biology and sound. The Planétarium has six shows a day on a screen measuring 1000-sq-m, and the brilliant Cité des Enfants (Children’s Village) has colourful and imaginative hands-on demonstrations of basic scientific principles. Free attractions include: Aquarium, Carrefour Numérique (Internet centre), Cité des Métiers (information about trades, professions and employment) and Médiathèque (multimedia exhibits dealing with childhood, the history of science and health).
